I am excited to share with you an article from the Independent to which I have contributed, which explores the films of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The article delves into the iconic films and why they continue to captivate audiences today. I contrubuted general research in the article and am quoted discussing the problematic themes present in some of the classic films. Despite these concerns there is still so much to be enjoyed in the films and I believe that that they can inspire and entertain the next generation by extracting the stunning moments from the films and sharing them, such as through online clips, can be a way to appreciate the talents of Astaire and Rogers while avoiding the problematic themes.
